Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1: CASABLANCA :
Your private driver will meet you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, we will visit the Hassan II Mosque today or the next day.
DAY 2: CASABLANCA – RABAT – ASSILAH :
This morning you travel for about one hour along the coast to reach Morocco’s administrative capital city Rabat city is Moroccan capital, rests along the shores of the Bouregreg River and the Atlantic Ocean, it’s known for landmarks that speak to its Islamic and French-colonial heritage, including the Kasbah of the Udayas. This Berber-era royal fort is surrounded by formal French-designed gardens and overlooks the ocean The city’s iconic Hassan Tower, Hassan Tower is a minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat, Begun in 1195, the tower was intended to be the largest minaret in the world along with the mosque, also intended to be the world’s largest. After the sightseeing of Rabat, we continue our journey to Assilah, Assilah is a town on Morocco’s the Atlantic Ocean, South of Tangier. Its old town, or medina, is enclosed by well-preserved 15th-century ramparts and gates, built by colonial Portuguese. The Medina is an art Culture international d’Asilah, an annual festival. Venues include the exhibition space Centre de Hassan ll Rencontres international and early-20th-century Palais Raissouni.
DAY 3: ASSILAH - CHEFCHAOUEN :
Today you will drive to Chefchaouen through The Rif Mountains. Rif Mountains has been inhabited by Berbers since prehistoric time, as early as the 11 century BC, the Phoenicians began to establish trading posts, with approval of our partnership with the local Berbers and started interbreeding thus starting a punic language, on the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts, and founded cities such as Tetouan, Melilla, Tangier, and Chefchaouen. Chefchaouen also is known as Chaouen, is a city in northwest Morocco. It is the chief town of the province of the same name and is noted for its building in shades of blue. DAY 4: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FEZ :
After breakfast in your riad, our exciting journey will start towards Volubilis, crossing via Wazan and Rif mountains. In Volubilis, you will visit the Roman ruins and explore the archeological site and its Morrocan history. After visiting the ruins, we will make our way to Meknes, a city with a 17th-century heritage. You will enjoy lunch and visit the medina, Bab el Mansour, and enjoy a visit to Moulay Ismail’s shrine. We will arrive at Fes in the evening for dinner and your overnight in a riad.
DAY 5: FEZ CITY TOUR
After breakfast, a knowledgable guide will meet you at your riad in the morning for an incredible cultural and historical tour of Fes. You will visit the medina (the old city) and it’s a labyrinth of alleys, the Jewish Quarter, and the Royal Palace gate in the morning before enjoying lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the famous tanneries and the Quaraouine mosque — the first university in the world — before driving to the top of the city for a wonderful panoramic view of the city. If you wish, we will also visit the pottery cooperative. You will have free time in the evening, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight in the same riad.
DAY 6: FEZ – MIDELT :
After breakfast, we will leave for Midelt. Traveling through Ifran, a beautiful mountain village known as “the Switzerland of Morocco” because of its landscapes, you’ll enjoy glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. In Azrou, you’ll have a chance to see the wild monkeys, and then we will continue our journey to Midelt. You’ll enjoy an overnight in a Midelt hotel with dinner.
DAY 7: MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – ERFOUD -MERZOUGA – ERG CHEBBI
After breakfast, we will cross the pass of Tizi n Tlghamt to reach Errachidia while admiring the views of Ziz Gorge. Later on, we will stop for a panoramic view of the Ziz valley. After lunch, we will pass through Erfoud, the Moroccan capital city of fossils, and then we will arrive at Merzouga for our camel trek. Before we leave for the desert, the camels will be packed with water, food, blankets, and everything else which we will need for the trip. Each person will have their own camel and the ride will take 1.5 hours to reach the inside the dunes. You will arrive at your own private tent, and then you can walk in the dunes to watch the beautiful sunset and try sandboarding on the sand dunes. After seeing the sunset, you will go down back to the camp to enjoy mint tea (what we call Moroccan Berber Whiskey!). Then you will have your meal of delicious Moroccan Berber tagine in the camp. After dinner, the party will start. Local Berber nomad musicians will play traditional music with drums and dancing. Afterward, you will watch the magical sky full of stars and enjoy the peaceful desert. Dinner and overnight in a nomad luxury camp.
DAY 8: MERZOUGA DESERT TOUR 4×4
Awake in the morning to the gentle calling of your guide to see the sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara. We will ride camels back from Desert Camp to Merzouga for breakfast and showers before starting our tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi and Merzouga. We will visit a Berber house and listen to some Gnawa music originally from Ghana and Sudan. We will visit some deserted mines, Berber nomads, and an oasis of palm trees. In the evening, you will have free time and dinner and overnight at the riad in Merzouga.
DAY 9 : MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY
After breakfast, we will leave for Todra Gorge. We will drive off-road drive across the hamada (black Desert) to get to the Sahara town of Rissani to visit the animated local market. Afterward, we head north to Erfoud, known for its fossils, and can stop to visit a fossil workshop before we continue to the impressive Todra canyons. Rock climbing (additional reservations may be required) and hiking is available in the canyons before heading to the hotels for dinner and our overnight stay.
DAY 10 : DADES VALLEY –OUARZAZATE- AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH.
After breakfast in the hotel, we begin our journey along the road of Thousand Kasbahs, viewing the enormous kasbahs on both sides of the road. You’ll enjoy the impressive landscapes of the Valley of the Roses before we reach Skoura palm grove, and then Ouarzazate. We will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, famous for films such as The Man Who Would Be King, Jewel of the Nile, Jesus of Nazareth, The Message, Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, and Gladiator. overnight in a traditional hotel
DAY 11: AIT BENHADDOU-ATLAS MOUNTAINS-IMLIL VALLEY :
Today after breakfast we will cross the high Atlas mountains through the TIZI Ntast and we will head towards the beautiful valley of Imlil Imlil is a small Berber village with a large number of hotels and restaurants. Imlil situated at about 70km from Marrakech. It's the last biggest village before the Atlas mountains and it is the start point of the hikes and treks to Toubkal or the surrounding area.
DAY 12: IMLIL -MARRAKECH:
Today after breakfast we explore Imlil than head to explore Asni valley then go to Tahnaout And Berber villages, stop for lunch before going to Marrakech, overnight in a beautiful hotel.
DAY 13: MARRAKECH CITY TOUR
The next day after breakfast, you will enjoy a tour of Marrakech with a private guide. Our first half of the tour will include a visit to the famous Palais de Bahia, a beautifully decorated palace full of enchanting inner rooms and elaborate mosaic walls. Then we will walk through the Jewish Quarter, with a distinctly different architecture from the rest of the medina, and also discover the incredible Saadian tombs. We’ll visit Medersa Ben Youssef, an old school of Quranic study with beautiful Arabian-Andalucían architecture, and see the Koutoubia Mosque, an icon of Marrakech and a point of orientation for tourists. Lastly, we’ll head to the world-famous Jemaah el Fna square with its countless orange juice stands, snake charmers, traditionally-garbed water sellers, and henna women. Enjoy a refreshing midday pause on one of the terraces with a panoramic view and take in the sights of the colorful crowds below. We will then continue on to the incredible Majorelle Gardens and you will make your way through the oasis of calm in the midst of the bustling city at your leisure. Visit the Berber Museum housed in the bright blue villa and learn about the history and traditions of Berber people and see some of their beautiful traditional clothing. You’ll stay in the same riad with dinner.
DAY 13: MARRAKECH– ESSAOUIRA :
In the morning, we will leave for Essaouira, the old Portuguese city. On the way, you may visit the Argan oil women’s cooperative and learn about the process of making Argan oil. Arriving in Essaouira in the early afternoon, you will explore the port of this beautiful coastal town. For lunch, you can enjoy fresh seafood in the medina. The afternoon is at your leisure for personal exploration –you can swim and relax on the beach or wander the medina. Dinner will be served at your riad.
DAY 15: ESSAOUIRA – CASABLANCA:
Today we will leave Essaouira for Casablanca via the costal road while admiring the views. We will pass by Safi then to Oualida, where you will enjoy delicious seafood. After lunch, we will continue to Casablanca passing by El Jadida (formerly known as Mazagan); this old medina was established in 1513 by the Portuguese. You will arrive at Casablanca early evening and enjoy your dinner and overnight in a hotel. DAY 16: TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT : After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer you to the Airport depending on your flight departure time.
