Detailed Itinerary
Day 1:Casablanca Airport-Hotel in Casablanca
You will be welcomed by your driver /guide in the airport of Mohamed 5 in Casablanca and take you to your hotel in Casablanca. Overnight in the hotel. Also if you have already arrived Casablanca a few days before then we will pick up you in your hotel then start the tour.
Day 2:Casablanca–Rabat
Have breakfast at the hotel and start your 15 days Morocco tour from Casablanca. First, you will visit one of the most beautiful places in Casablanca, The Hassan II mosque, the largest of its kind in Africa. Afterward, drive to Morocco’s capital city. It’s an imperial city where you’ll visit Mechouar, the tombs of Mohamed V and Hassan II, and the Kasbah of Oudayas. Overnight in your accommodation in the same city.
Day 3:Rabat-Asilah–Tangier
Drive to the exquisite town of Asilah, visit the town and view its splendid highlight. Then go on towards Tangier. There’s a great deal to see here: the city, Cap spartel, and Hercules caves. Overnight in a hotel.
After breakfast drive to Tangier through the quiet and nice beach town of Asilah. After the visit, the group will continue to Tangier to visit Hercules cave, Cap spartel and the city itself. Overnight in Hotel in Tangier.
Day 4:Tangier–Rif Mountains–Chefchaouen
After Breakfast visit the city of Tangier and Hercules cave before you set off for Chefchaouen, an outstanding town in a strategic location with white-blue houses. The town lies in a green spot crossed by a river.
Day 5:Chefchaouen–Volubilis–Meknes-Fes
After Breakfast, depart to Meknes through the Rif mountains. Visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis and continue to Meknes for visiting the old Medina of this imperial city surrounded by ramparts, including a visit to Moulay Ismail mausoleum, the green gate of Bab Mansour, and Lahdim Square. Then continue to visit the Medina of Meknes surrounded also by ramparts. Then continue to your riad in Fes.
Day 6:Fes-Fes
You will have a trip around Fes. The first place to start with is the old Medina in which you will discover its narrow streets and see magic wherever you look, the magic it derives from its many historical monuments, including Al-Attarine Madrasa, Ennajarine Fountain, Al-Qarawiyyine university, the oldest university in the world founded in 859, Bou Inania Madrasa and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss.
Your exploratory trip in the old Medina comes to an end after breakfast in a restaurant. Before you return to your accommodation, visit ‘Fes Al-jdid’, the new city. After lunch in a local restaurant, experience the panoramic view of the whole Medina of Fes before having a short visit in the new part.
Day 7:Fes–Ifrane–the Middle Atlas–Midelt
Setting out from Fes, you will cross the Middle Atlas mountains towards Ifran. Enjoy the spectacle of Berber villages and Cedar forests along the way. Pass through Ifran, ‘little Switzerland’ as some like to nickname it for its beauty, and Azrou. The town of Midelt is where you will stay the night in a hotel.
Day 8:Midelt–Ziz Valley–Erfoud–Merzouga
Start your trip from Midelt and cross the valley of Ziz to see the wonderful natural view of palm trees. By the time you reach Erfoud, you will stop by shops of fossils and then drive towards the desert town of Merzouga. Arrive before sunset, have a walk amid the desert and climb a sand dune to watch the sunset.
Day 9:Merzouga–Erg Chebbi–Merzouga
The area of Merzouga is full of touristic places: The first spot to visit is Khamlia, the hometown of the dark-skinned ethnic group that will welcome you with a cup of tea while enjoying their traditional music. Next, go for a visit to the desert Lake where you will see several species of birds. Drive over that plain towards Rissani and Tafilalte, from where the Alaouite dynasty descends. There are fortified villages and souks. Drive back to the hotel in the afternoon in order to go trekking on camels over the sand dunes. Watch sunset before you come to a desert camp in the heart of the desert. Enjoy the spectacles, quietness, the sight of campfire and the sound of Berber music played by some local guys.
Day 10:Merzouga–Todra Gorges–Ouarzazate
In the morning, wake as earlier as you can so as not to miss the stunning view of sunrise. Later, have breakfast in the hotel. On your way to Todra Gorges, passing through Rissani and Tafilalt. Todra Gorges is a nice place with water springing from the rocky mountains and run down the green valley. You will also see the beautiful town of Boumalne Dades and the ‘Rose Valley’ known throughout Morocco as the capital of roses for its wide cultivation of roses besides apples, fig, corn…etc. The Kasbahs embellish the road with a hint of ancientness, making of it ‘the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs’. Overnight at a riad in Ouarzazate.*
Day 11:Ouarzazate–Taroudant
Going past Taznakht and Taliouine, we will drive to Taroudant. On our way, you can seize the opportunity to visit Saffron fields where you will meet local farms working in their fields. We’ll have arrived in Taroudant by the afternoon. Therein, have a tour around the Medina which is surrounded by walls, and wander along its streets.
Day 12:Taroudant–Agadir–Essaouira
Drive to one of Morocco’s most visited cities, Agadir. Have lunch there and we will take the quiet coastal road leading to Essaouira. Delight in seeing the beautiful scenery and Argan trees being climbed by goats.
Day 13:Essaouira–Marrakech
Begin the day by visiting seaport and the Medina, also called ‘Skala’ where you will see old structures and cannons, in addition to the museum of Sidi Mohammed Ben Abd Llah and a walk down the market to behold a myriad of products, such as hand-made ones and displays of local craft. Enjoy seafood for lunch. Head eastwards to Marrakesh
Day 14:Marrakech-Marrakech
In the morning get ready to discover Marrakesh, Morocco’s touristic capital. Visit many impressive places, including Menara, Palaces of Bahia and Badi and Saadian mausoleums. Enjoy Moroccan traditional lunch at a restaurant to resume your trip. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, built in the 12th century, and Djemaa El Fna, the place no one misses when visiting Marrakesh. The attractive square of Djemaa El Fna is well-known for vitality at night when people crowd around comedians, storytellers, snake enchanters…etc
Day 15:Marrakech–Casablanca Airport
Transfer to the airport of Casablanca
