Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1– Casablanca – Chefchaouen
Pick up at the airport and transfer to Chefchaouen, but before visiting the Hassan II mosque (the largest mosque in Morocco and one of the largest in the world).
DAY 2 – Free Day Chefchaouen(Akchour waterfalls hike)
After a delicious breakfast in your riad, enjoy the charm of the blue city before leaving Chefchaouen for the 45 minutes or so trip to Akchor. Hike To Akchour & God’s BridgeHike 5 minutes beyond the carpark to the small dam. The route to the rock bridge or Bridge of God goes off to the right at the dam. The route to the waterfalls goes to the left over the dam. It may take you 45 minutes to hike up to the God’s Bridge, climbing quite high up the valley side. You can hike over the top of God’s Bridge itself to the other side of the valley. A track leads from there up the hillside and eventually descends back down near the dam. Return to the blue city for overnight
DAY 3 – Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Take your breakfast at the hotel/ riad, then Departure to Volubilis to visit the archaeological site. In Meknes, visit the ancient capital of Moulay Ismail protected by its magnificent monumental doors Bab el Khemis and Bab Mansour; then instead Hédim, the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Continuation to Fez. And stay the night at your riad.
DAY 4 - Full day Fes (tour and free time)
After breakfast in your Riad, you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 16th century. We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes.
DAY 5 - Fes – Merzouga (Camel trek/camping)
After breakfast, We will start our day from the Riad in Fes then drive southwards to Ifrane and Azrou by the Middle Atlas mountains. On the way, we will stop at the cedar forest to see the Barbarian Ape in their natural habitat. Traveling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau, noticing how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city Errachidia. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz valley Erfoud, Rissani and Merzouga. After a glass of mint tea, We will leave our luggage in a room then take the camels to a Berber luxury camp in the middle of Erg Chebbi Sad Dunes. 20 km long and 5 km wide it is also reputed as the highest sand dunes in North Africa. It is a unique and diverse environment. The camel trek takes about 1hr from the hotel to the camp where we continue the spirit of the nomadic Berber lifestyle. There we set up 3 Berber tents with additional restaurants and kitchen with the dunes naturally providing basic facilities.
The tents are well equipped and we provide mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner, we gather around the fire and enjoy the desert night with traditional Berber drums.
DAY 6– Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Rose Valley
The camel man will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life. Afterward, you’ll peacefully camel-trek back to your hotel appreciating the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast and shower, you’ll leave for Tinghir and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. before arriving at Dades Valley for dinner and accommodation.
DAY 7 - Rose Valley – Skoura Kasbahs – Ait Ben Haddou
After breakfast in your hotel, you will go in a walk in the Dades valley to explore the field and the Berber lifestyle there, after you will head to Skoura via Roses Valley, explore Skoura palm groves, arriving in Ouarzazate and visit some monuments before heading to explore the kasbahs of ait Benhaddou. overnight in ait Benhaddou
DAY 8 - Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Today after breakfast, we head toward Marrakech via the Tizi Ntichka pass in the High Atlas mountains, Arriving Marrakech where you will have free time
We will have time to stop and enjoy impressive views and visit the argan oil cooperative. We will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
Day 9 Full day Marrakech (tour and free time)
After breakfast in the Riad, you can start exploring Marrakech “the red city of Morocco”. We will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace. After lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. On the afternoon, you will have some free time to wander by yourself the other parts of the city
Day 10 Marrakech – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Marrakech
After breakfast you will head to Ouzoud waterfalls, passing through the tiny village of Ouzoud, continue past the many souvenir stalls, start climbing down the stairs past the many cafes. Right before starting on the stairs, you will have had your first view over the waterfalls, and it will look heavingly. There is another route to get to the base of the waterfalls, more fun but a little bit more challenging if you are in good shape and have good boots on, definitely take it, incredible views and more monkeys encounter. Not only does it give the best views of the waterfalls and good opportunities for swimming, but it is also a place to rest. There are small boats that can take you on a tour. These boats serve little practical use since it is easy to walk over to the other side. But they are there for the purpose of charm.
This is also the home of the famous macaque monkeys, the naturally tail-less monkeys that you find performing in the main square in Marrakech. It is delightful to see them roaming free in their native habitat. There are several lunchtime restaurants (not included) all of which have spectacular views.
Day 11 – Marrakech - Casablanca
